Message From The Owner:
As the owner of Hawthorne General Construction, my priority is delivering quality that allows me to sleep soundly at night. The materials we use directly impact my peace of mind, which is why I recommend Malarkey—they produce top-tier products and stand by their warranties. Cutting corners on materials isn't an option for us, which is why I prefer CDX over OSB for roof decks and use cap nails instead of staples for underlayment.
I personally source materials from various distributors to get the best pricing, and my pricing is always transparent. The cost of your roof is calculated using this formula: (Labor + Materials) * 1.35. That 35% margin covers our operating expenses, my pay, and business growth—ensuring the business is sustainable without overcharging customers. I believe this 35% margin strikes the perfect balance.
To keep costs low and pass the savings on to you, I utilize technology and automation tools like Roofr, Zapier, and CompanyCam.
That’s how I can look you in the eye, sleep well at night, and confidently say you’re getting the best quality product at the best possible price.

Adam and his team did an incredible job on my homes really old and very steep roof. They had to tear off at least 3 layers of roofing and a layer of cedar shingles. Install plywood sheeting and then the roofing on a 16/12 (?) pitch roof. They were very safety minded. And worked very hard despite its being hot out. At the end of each day, they went around the property and cleaned up what they could. The employees were respectful and polite at all times. I was very impressed by their work and the end result. Would highly recommend to anyone needing quality roofing done.
